The Q-FE Road Ant™ aggregate spreader truck, a unique and patented forward moving aggregate spreader that has a dual controls which enables it to be driven from either end independently of each other. It complies with Vic Roads Standard 408.11 which mandated from 1 July 2022 that all aggregate spreaders on sprayed sealing operations be forward moving. The Q-FE Road Ant™ aggregate spreader truck can be driven independently from both ends of the vehicle and has been built with significant safety features that are engaged when driving the vehicle from either end. Safety features include reversing operating cameras and monitoring screens, Reverse Smart automatic emergency braking systems, truck anti roll away devices, and reversing buzzer and lights when in spray seal operation. Features

Using Q-FE’s proprietary and patented design,the Q-FE Road Ant™ can be fitted to a wide range of cab chassis.including Iveco, Isuzu and Volvo cab chassis, configured for 6x4/8x4, and fitted with a Trout River asphalt compatible body and automated 10 gate chip spreader.It has been built with significant safety features that are engaged when driving the vehicle from either end.The aggregate is conveyed from the moving floor body and under the cabin, into the Trout River automated 10 gate chip spreader.

DUAL CONTROL REAR CABIN

Machine operators sit either side of cabin, directly over spread line with clear, uninterrupted vision of work site and surrounding areas.

ATTACHMENTS

The rear of conveyor assembly replicates that of a Trout Body, allowing fitment of any standard attachment. Allows for flexibility and all round use when not spray sealing, including asphalting, shoulder work and conventional spreading of crushed rock.

SAFETY

Fitted to both front and rear cabins: Reversing/operating cameras and monitoring screens fitted; Reverse Smart automated emergency braking system (“AEB”) engaged where a person or object is detected in pre-set work area limits;Brake lights, indicators and buzzer engaged during spray sealing work

10 GATE TROUT RIVER SPREADER

Spread cover 2.5mt standard, 2.95mt with extensions. Suitable for aggregate up to 20mm. Spreader can be hydraulically raised and lowered to allow for towing, and is detachable.
